About the role
Lumbermen's is hiring a 2nd shift warehouse associate at its Byron Center, Michigan distribution facility to receive, pick, and ship building-products freight. You'll run the floor from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, working forklifts and pulling orders for an employee-owned building-materials company.
Responsibilities
- Unload incoming freight and check it against packing lists for accuracy
- Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for outbound delivery
- Operate a forklift to load and unload transfer trucks (training provided)
- Secure and protect product during loading to prevent damage in transit
- Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and safe
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior warehouse experience preferred, not required
- Able to safely lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly through a shift
- Comfortable learning to operate a forklift
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication with the team
