About the role
Interpath Laboratory, a family-owned clinical and anatomic pathology lab serving the Pacific Northwest, is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist/Processor for its Moses Lake, Washington location. You'll draw and process patient specimens while delivering the kind of attentive, personal service the lab is known for across its 90+ locations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, answer phones, and monitor lab instrumentation for alarms
- Perform venipuncture and collect additional specimen types as needed
- Prepare all samples for testing and screening, verifying and entering specimen data accurately
- Receive, process, and package specimens for referral labs while preserving sample integrity
- Follow safety protocols, HIPAA rules, and Medicare requirements, and take part in quality assurance
- Cover shifts at other Interpath sites as needed to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Washington Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy (MA-P) certification required
- Prior on-the-job phlebotomy experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable in a lab setting with exposure to blood and other specimens (PPE provided; Hepatitis-B vaccination offered)
- Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs throughout the shift, with flexibility for occasional overtime
What we offer
- $17.50-$23.70 per hour, depending on experience
- Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays, 8-hour shifts
