About the role
Jito Labs — the team behind Solana's leading block engine and JitoSOL, processing billions in daily transaction value — is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build JTX, a next-generation on-chain trading platform designed from scratch for serious Solana traders, from order routing and execution to real-time market data and position management.
Responsibilities
- Design and build core trading systems for JTX from the ground up — order routing, execution, real-time market data feeds, and position management
- Build low-latency, high-reliability services that interact directly with Solana's transaction pipeline and block-building infrastructure
- Implement security at every layer: transaction signing, key management, and user data protection
- Make significant architectural decisions as an early team member on a 0-to-1 product
- Ship rapidly and iterate based on real trader feedback, working closely with product and infrastructure teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful time on distributed systems
- Strong systems programming skills — Rust preferred; deep C/C++, Go, or similar is also fine
- Track record building reliable, low-latency production systems
- Security-first mindset: you think about attack surfaces, key management, and failure modes before writing code
- Comfort operating with high autonomy in an early-stage, rapidly evolving product environment
