About the role
Veda, a fast-growing DeFi infrastructure protocol that powers on-chain yield products for platforms like ether.fi Liquid and Mantle cmETH, is hiring a fully remote (US) Smart Contract Engineer to help build and secure the Solidity code underpinning roughly $6 billion in total value locked across more than 100,000 users. The engineer will own architecture, delivery, and security for on-chain contracts, working closely with auditors and partner teams to keep Veda's vault infrastructure resilient as it scales.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain Solidity smart contracts, including upgradeable proxy patterns and cross-chain messaging logic
- Lead design reviews, threat-model new features, and run fuzz testing and formal verification on contract changes
- Operate and upgrade live vault deployments that hold substantial user funds
- Take features from design through production deployment with full ownership
- Coordinate with external security auditors and manage bug-bounty programs
- Act as a technical point of contact for partner protocols integrating with Veda's infrastructure
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 2-3+ years writing production-grade Solidity
- Proven history of shipping and maintaining smart contract suites without critical security incidents
- Solid understanding of EVM internals, gas optimization, and common exploit vectors
- Hands-on experience with Foundry and/or Hardhat
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
