About the role
Blank Street Coffee is hiring a part-time Barista for its Boston café, where hospitality comes first and great coffee follows. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys fast-paced service, building regulars, and learning specialty beverage craft on professional equipment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers with warm, consistent hospitality during every shift
- Prepare espresso drinks, matcha, and other café beverages to Blank Street's quality standards
- Complete food-safety and handling training and follow health department protocols
- Track product usage and help manage inventory par levels
- Keep the café clean, organized, and ready for the next rush
- Support in-store marketing and promotions that build customer loyalty
Requirements
- At least 1 year of customer service experience; coffee or hospitality background preferred
- Minimum age 18
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and remain standing for extended shifts
- Available at least 3 days/week, including 2 peak days (Fri/Sat/Sun)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify participant)
