About the role
MoonPay — the crypto payments platform trusted by 30M+ customers and 500+ ecosystem partners — is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to own GCP and AWS security posture, build threat models for new infrastructure, and establish the company's cloud incident response program from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Perform threat modeling for new cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes deployments across GCP and AWS
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls and configurations for both environments
- Build and manage secure Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Implement and tune cloud security monitoring in DataDog, including custom alert logic beyond out-of-the-box rules
- Deploy and manage Just-in-Time (JIT) access controls for elevated cloud privileges
- Establish and lead the cloud incident management program, including response and post-mortems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and drive remediation across cloud infrastructure
- Develop cloud security training and awareness programs for engineering teams
Requirements
- Extensive cloud security experience with deep expertise in both GCP and AWS
- Strong hands-on Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code
- Experience implementing cloud security monitoring with DataDog (custom rules, not just OOTB)
- Proven ability to design and run Just-in-Time IAM access solutions
- Track record establishing incident response programs for cloud environments
- Ability to communicate technical security risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated and effective working remotely
