About the role
Anchorage Digital — the first federally chartered crypto bank in the US, backed by Goldman Sachs, Andreessen Horowitz, and Visa — is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead its Blockchain Integrations team, the group responsible for secure, scalable connectivity to hundreds of blockchain networks powering custody, staking, and on-chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of blockchain engineers across hiring, performance, and professional development
- Define the team's engineering roadmap and translate product goals into reliable, scalable technical delivery
- Partner with product managers to balance bandwidth, technical constraints, and roadmap priorities
- Drive operational excellence: code quality, testing culture, deployment reliability, and incident response
- Collaborate with other engineering managers and recruiting to shape team growth and retention
Requirements
- Proven experience managing and mentoring geographically distributed engineering teams
- Hands-on background building complex distributed systems (Go preferred; language matters less than engineering depth)
- Strong CS fundamentals — concurrency, data structures, algorithms
- Enthusiasm for code quality, test infrastructure, and end-user value over "cool tech"
- Bonus: experience with applied cryptography, blockchain protocol white papers, or Go/Rust/TypeScript/Solidity
What we offer
- Competitive compensation at a $3B+ Series D company
- Equity participation
- Remote-first with offices in New York, San Francisco, Porto, and Singapore
- Collaborative engineering culture with deep crypto and security expertise
- Work at the first OCC-chartered national trust bank in the crypto industry
