CSCI Consulting, an award-winning IT and financial-management consulting firm, is hiring a remote COBOL Developer to design, maintain, and debug mainframe applications on a federal program. Responsibilities
- Design, code, and debug COBOL programs in a mainframe environment
- Maintain and enhance existing production applications
- Analyze systems and resolve programming issues as they surface
- Collaborate across functional teams on shared deliverables
- Uphold code quality standards and document technical specifications
Requirements
- 5+ years of COBOL development in mainframe environments
- Strong knowledge of mainframe systems and COBOL programming
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Preferred: experience with VSAM, DB2, CICS, and prior federal-agency work
