About the role
Desert Hills Animal Clinic, a full-service animal hospital in north Phoenix, is hiring a full-time Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) to support its four-doctor team. You'll work hands-on across surgery, dentistry, and general medicine for dogs, cats, and exotic companion animals, with a steady Monday–Friday schedule plus one Saturday shift a month.
Responsibilities
- Assist the clinic's four veterinarians during routine exams, diagnostics, and treatment planning for dogs, cats, and exotic pets
- Provide hands-on support during routine and orthopedic surgeries, from prep through recovery
- Help stabilize and monitor patients coming in for emergency care
- Assist with dental procedures, including cleanings and extractions
- Administer medications, run diagnostic tests, and monitor patients under anesthesia
- Keep the treatment area clean and organized and maintain accurate patient records
Requirements
- Active Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification
- Prior hands-on veterinary technician experience preferred
- Comfortable working with dogs, cats, and exotic companion animals
- Able to work a 5-day week that includes one Saturday shift per month
