About the role
Queen City Endodontics – South Charlotte, part of Specialty1 Partners, is hiring an experienced Dental Assistant to support a busy endodontic practice. You'll work chairside using four-handed dentistry, prep and sterilize instruments, and help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after root canal and other specialty procedures.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and prepare them for treatment
- Select, set up, and sterilize instruments and equipment for each procedure
- Assist the dentist chairside using four-handed dentistry technique
- Provide patients with oral hygiene guidance and post-operative care instructions
- Keep treatment rooms clean, stocked, and ready between patients
- Schedule appointments and post-op follow-up visits
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment processing
- Take on other office duties as needed
Requirements
- At least 3 years of dental assistant experience; endodontic specialty experience preferred
- DA II certification required
- Nitrous oxide certification required
- Active state radiology license where required
- Working knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization procedures, and OSHA/infection-control standards
- Strong computer and dental-software skills
- High school diploma; able to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand/wrist movements
- Clear, team-oriented communicator who can respond quickly in an emergency
