About the role
Plum Dental Group, a dentist-owned dental group, is hiring a Dental Hygienist for its Rhode Island practice. The role covers preventive and periodontal care using modern tools — intraoral cameras, digital scanners, and Dexis digital X-ray sensors — with a $6,000 signing bonus for a 3-year commitment. Both full-time (Monday–Thursday) and part-time schedules are available.
Responsibilities
- Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and periodontal maintenance
- Perform periodontal assessments and therapies, including scaling and root planing
- Take dental radiographs in line with state regulations and practice standards
- Keep patient records, clinical notes, and treatment plans current in the Carestack practice management system
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal health, and help them stick with it
- Flag treatment needs to the dentist and help keep the schedule running smoothly
- Help keep instruments and equipment properly sterilized and organized
- Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control compliance
Requirements
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene
- Active Rhode Island Dental Hygienist license (or eligible)
- Current CPR certification
- New graduates of an accredited program welcome to apply
- Comfortable with Carestack or similar dental practice software a plus
