About the role
BAYADA is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the Pittsburgh area to work one-on-one as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, helping them reach their full potential. You'll support daily living and community-integration activities in home and community settings across Allegheny and Beaver counties. These are part-time roles with potential to reach 40 hours, paying $18–$19/hour with weekly pay; no experience? Training is available through the apprentice program.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance such as dressing and grooming
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the client's favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks like meal preparation
- Support community-integration activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience working with I/DD individuals (training available via apprentice program if not)
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Comfortable transporting clients in your own vehicle for community-based services
