About the role
Van Buren Dental, part of Premier Care Dental Management, is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) in Kettering, Ohio. You'll work chairside with the dentist on a range of restorative procedures, take digital images, and help patients feel at ease throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and make sure they're comfortable before and during treatment
- Assist the dentist chairside with restorative and general procedures
- Take digital radiographs and intra-oral scans as directed
- Prepare, sterilize, and sanitize instruments and operatories between patients
- Follow OSHA and practice safety protocols at all times
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and home care
- Help with general office tasks as needed
Requirements
- Prior dental assisting experience required
- Active EFDA license, or actively working toward one, strongly preferred
- Any additional state-required certifications or licenses for expanded duties
- Stable work history
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
