About the role

vRad, the nation's largest teleradiology practice, is hiring board-certified diagnostic radiologists for a fully remote, full-time role. Read emergent and routine imaging studies from home on a predictable 7-on/7-off or 7-on/14-off schedule, choosing day, evening, or overnight blocks with no on-call duty.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret emergent and routine diagnostic imaging studies (CT, X-ray, CTA, ultrasound, and MRI) for referring hospitals and clinics nationwide
  • Communicate critical and urgent findings directly to referring physicians
  • Participate in ongoing peer review to help maintain quality standards
  • Coordinate with vRad's operations and IT support teams on workflow and technical issues
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation for every study read
  • Deliver timely, high-quality interpretations within vRad's turnaround expectations

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • ABR or AOBR board certification (board eligible considered if still completing training)
  • Eligible for U.S. medical licensure; candidates holding multiple state licenses preferred
  • No fellowship required — this is a general diagnostic reading role
  • Comfortable with a mixed case load: roughly 41-45% CT, 32-37% X-ray, 10-11% CTA, 8% ultrasound, and 3-4% MRI depending on shift

What we offer

  • Estimated annual earnings of $450,000-$900,000+, productivity-based with no fixed read quotas

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage plus 401(k)
  • Supplemental life and disability insurance
  • Malpractice coverage included
