VocoVision is seeking a contract sign language interpreter to provide telehealth-based communication access for schools in the Columbia, Missouri area. The 1099 role mixes remote telehealth sessions with school-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide clear sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions and school activities
- Work with educators, healthcare providers and students on communication access
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in every assignment
- Adapt interpreting methods to remote telehealth and on-site school settings
- Stay current on sign language proficiency and telehealth technology
Requirements
- Proven sign language interpreter with telehealth experience
- Understanding of educational settings and student communication needs
- Strong expressive and receptive interpreting skills
- Familiarity with telehealth delivery platforms
- Ability to work independently under a 1099 contract
