About the role

CareTalk Health, a virtual medical practice built around remote patient monitoring and chronic care management, is hiring a Junior Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist to help keep its billing engine running smoothly. You'll handle claims, credentialing paperwork, and accounts-receivable follow-up for a telehealth organization, working a standard Monday–Friday daytime schedule from anywhere in the US. It's an entry-friendly way into healthcare revenue-cycle work, paying $35/hour with a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Submit insurance claims accurately and on time, then track them through the payer's processing pipeline
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and work outstanding balances to resolution
  • Support provider credentialing and payer-enrollment paperwork
  • Manage accounts-receivable aging, light collections work, and balance resolution
  • Spot recurring denial patterns and help build better denial-prevention habits
  • Post payments, adjustments, and remittance information as they come in
  • Reconcile billing discrepancies between internal records and payer statements
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before claims go out
  • Keep billing documentation organized, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Communicate with payers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve claim issues
  • Track core RCM metrics such as clean-claim rate and days in accounts receivable
  • Contribute ideas for revenue-cycle process improvements as the team scales

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in revenue cycle, medical billing, or healthcare administration preferred
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or finance is a plus
  • Working knowledge of insurance claim workflows, EOBs/ERAs, and denial management
  • Familiarity with provider credentialing and payer enrollment a plus
  • Solid understanding of accounts-receivable fundamentals
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Able to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote setting
  • Comfortable in Excel, Google Sheets, and everyday office software
  • CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS coding exposure and EHR, practice-management, or payer-portal experience are a plus
  • Reliable home office setup meeting standard remote-work specs (modern Windows/macOS machine, 16GB RAM, wired broadband, webcam, headset)

What we offer

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package based on experience
  • Fully remote role with a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule — no weekends or on-call rotation
  • Entry point into healthcare revenue-cycle operations at a fast-growing virtual care company
