About the role
Cataudella Funeral Home in Methuen, Massachusetts — part of the Carriage Services family — is hiring a full-time Funeral Director/Embalmer to guide local families through one of life's hardest moments. You'll plan and personalize services, handle embalming and preparation work, keep arrangements compliant with state and company requirements, and help carry forward a funeral home with deep roots in the community.
Responsibilities
- Meet one-on-one with client families to plan personalized memorial and funeral services
- Perform embalming and body preparation, including on-call coverage as needed
- Keep all case files, contracts, and permits accurate and compliant with state and company requirements
- Use the funeral home's proprietary software to prepare contracts, forms, and documentation
- Lead and support funeral home staff to maintain high professional standards
- Conduct and attend visitations and services on a regular basis
- Represent the funeral home through participation in local community events
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Funeral Director/Embalmer
- Valid Funeral Director/Embalmer license, or ability to obtain one by endorsement in Massachusetts
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (company vehicle use required)
- Willingness to take on-call embalming shifts and participate in community involvement
