About the role
Apple Tree Dental, a nonprofit oral health provider that serves underserved patients across Minnesota, is looking for a Licensed Dental Assistant to join its Rochester clinic. You'll work chairside with dentists, handle X-rays, and help patients understand their care, all on a daytime-only schedule with no nights or weekends.
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside support to dentists during exams and procedures, prepping instruments and materials as needed
- Capture and process dental X-rays
- Walk patients through oral hygiene practices and after-visit care instructions
- Keep treatment areas clean and compliant with infection-control protocols
- Log patient visits and treatment plans accurately in the clinic's electronic health record system
- Coordinate with the broader dental team to keep patient visits running smoothly
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, plus completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Active Minnesota Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) credential
- DANB certification (or the equivalent state jurisprudence qualification for expanded duties)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills
