About the role
Vail Health Hospital is hiring a PRN (as-needed) Retail Pharmacy Technician in Vail, CO. You'll support the pharmacist across daily operations — entering patient and prescription info, helping dispense orders, managing register transactions, stocking inventory — and serve as a lead/trainer to other technicians. Pay is $23.20–$31/hour with a 16% PRN differential. This is an on-site, as-needed role.
Responsibilities
- Enter patient information and prescription orders; aid dispensing under pharmacist supervision
- Resolve third-party adjudication issues to keep prescriptions moving
- Manage register transactions and complete daily cash/check reconciliation
- Order and manage OTC/RX inventory; train and mentor other technicians
Requirements
- Colorado Pharmacy Technician Provisional Certification (PHATP) required
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Strong computer/typing skills; HIPAA compliant
- Working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking)
