About the role
Care Access runs decentralized clinical trials out in the community, and this per-diem role lets licensed clinicians opt into local research events near them. You will draw blood, process biospecimens, and keep meticulous records while helping participants feel at ease. It is flexible, event-based work for someone who wants to pick up shifts on their own schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection using proper sterile technique
- Prepare, label, and handle biospecimens with strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Document each procedure in approved electronic systems per regulatory standards
- Support event setup and breakdown and guide participants through their visit
- Assist with supply inventory and day-of administrative coordination
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- At least one year of phlebotomy and specimen-handling experience
- Comfort using mobile apps and electronic documentation tools
- Clear, warm communication skills with study participants
