About the role
Imagine Pediatrics is looking for a remote Coding & Billing Specialist to keep claims accurate and revenue moving for its pediatric telehealth practice. You'll own coding quality and claims resolution end-to-end, and work closely with providers, revenue cycle, and data teams to keep the whole billing engine running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Submit accurate claims using correct CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes
- Track and resolve denials and underpayments
- Validate eligibility and prior authorization before claims go out
- Apply correct telehealth and preventive-care coding rules
- Review provider documentation for coding accuracy, flag gaps, and coach providers on fixes
- Maintain the team's billing rules matrices and support new documentation templates
- Partner with data/analytics on claim-trend tracking and with revenue cycle operations on workflow
Requirements
- AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential required, verified before offer
- 3-5 years of physician billing and coding experience; pediatrics experience preferred
- Proficient in Athena EMR and Microsoft Excel
- Strong working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, HEDIS, and Medicaid/commercial payer rules
- Telehealth billing and value-based care experience a plus
