About the role
Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions is hiring a full-time Detox Registered Nurse for its residential treatment center in Whitehall, Ohio. Working under a Nurse Manager as part of an interdisciplinary care team, this RN delivers hands-on medical and nursing support to clients moving through detox and residential addiction treatment, combining clinical skill with patient education and crisis response across 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake and ongoing clinical assessments from admission through discharge
- Carry out physician and provider orders, including administering medications and monitoring results
- Perform point-of-care testing and collect specimens for lab work
- Offer one-on-one and family-focused counseling support alongside clinical care
- Build and deliver patient education materials on medical and treatment-related topics
- Oversee and support LPNs working on the unit
- Respond to behavioral health crises with appropriate clinical intervention
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic client record
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (Ohio license required)
- At least one year of nursing experience in a behavioral health or addiction treatment setting
- Working knowledge of psychiatric medications and their interactions
- Valid Ohio driver's license with reliable auto insurance
- Ability to pass a BCI background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Current credentialing with Ohio Medicaid, or ability to obtain it
- Prior psychiatric or addiction nursing experience is a plus
