About the role
Hope Network is hiring a part-time, first-shift Direct Support Professional for its Holland's Hope program in Holland, Michigan. You'll support adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs with daily living, community activities, and medication monitoring — part of a 2,800-person team serving 34,000+ individuals across 280 Michigan locations each year. Pay is $23/hour, with paid training included.
Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships that promote independence for the people you support
- Provide transportation to and support participation in community activities
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Monitor health and administer medication as directed
- Support meal preparation and dietary needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required
- Valid Michigan driver's license preferred
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to pass a background check
- CPR/First Aid certification within 180 days of hire
- At least one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health needs preferred
