About the role
Pomelo Care, a virtual medical practice for women and children, is growing its statewide network of certified birth and full-spectrum doulas across Pennsylvania. As a 1099 contractor you set your own availability and accept the clients that fit your schedule, while Pomelo handles credentialing, insurance billing, client matching and documentation support. You'll guide expecting and new families through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum weeks. Best fit for doulas based in Lancaster, York, Adams, Franklin or Union county who can work some evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Support expecting and new families across pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period, both virtually and in person
- Help improve birth outcomes with steady, judgment-free guidance and reassurance
- Keep timely, accurate visit and birth-support notes
- Follow Pomelo's documentation, privacy, quality and compliance standards
Requirements
- Completed certification/training as a birth and/or full-spectrum doula (Pennsylvania Certification Board approved)
- Hands-on doula experience and knowledge of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and postpartum recovery
- Comfortable with telehealth tools, video visits and electronic documentation
- NPI number, Adult & Infant CPR/First Aid, Medicaid ID and personal liability insurance (or willing to obtain)
- Based in or able to serve Lancaster, York, Adams, Franklin or Union county, PA
- Open to some evening and weekend availability
