About the role
Medical Solutions Allied is staffing a 13-week travel contract for a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. You'll work in a busy 6-room Cardiac Cath/EP Lab handling everything from diagnostic studies to complex PCI and structural heart cases, day shift with rotating on-call and weekend coverage. It's a strong fit for an experienced cath lab tech who's ready for a fast-paced academic hospital and has already completed at least one travel assignment.
Responsibilities
- Support a high-volume cath lab handling roughly 10-25 cases a day, ranging from routine diagnostic studies to complex PCI and structural heart procedures
- Manage patients in the holding area at a 1:3 ratio and provide 1:1 support during procedures
- Assist physicians with catheterization, angioplasty, and related cardiac interventions
- Monitor patients closely before, during, and after procedures, flagging any changes promptly
- Float to affiliated campuses or locations within the health system on short notice when needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac cath lab technologist experience, including experience within the past year
- At least one completed travel assignment
- Current ACLS and BLS certification
- Able to work day shifts (8:00 AM-6:30 PM) with on-call coverage 1-2 nights a week and roughly every 4th or 5th weekend, including holidays
- Willing to float to other campuses within the health system on short notice
