About the role
Included Health is looking for a Washington-licensed Urgent Care Physician to join as an independent contractor, seeing patients of all ages through virtual visits. You'll manage everything from acute complaints to chronic disease and mental health needs, with malpractice coverage included and a schedule you help set 30 days out.
Responsibilities
- Conduct age-appropriate virtual histories and exams, then evaluate, diagnose, and document a treatment plan
- Deliver high-quality care while maintaining strong safety standards in a virtual setting
- Document patient information and review history at every visit
- Request specialist consults or referrals when appropriate
- Counsel and educate patients on their conditions and care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Triage and manage both pediatric and adult patients, including chronic disease and mental health conditions
- Stay current on medical research and clinical trends
- Keep scheduling flexible enough to cover some evening and weekend shifts
Requirements
- Completion of a 3-year residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- 3+ years of post-residency experience in a fast-paced urgent care or primary care setting
- Active ABMS or AOA board certification in Family Medicine, or dual boarding in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
- Completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Washington (5+ state licenses preferred)
- Comfortable treating patients from newborn through adult
- In good standing with Medicare and not subject to any state or federal healthcare program exclusion
