About the role
Distro is growing its in-home care team in Westchester, NY and is looking for compassionate Caregivers to help seniors live independently and with dignity. You'll provide hands-on, non-medical support in clients' homes — from personal care to companionship — as part of a team that values the work caregivers do every day.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and standby personal care
- Help with safe mobility and transfers around the home
- Provide attentive companionship and supervision
- Give friendly reminders for medications on schedule
- Prepare and serve meals that fit each client's dietary needs
- Assist clients with light exercise and walks
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, including driving when needed
- Handle light housekeeping duties like laundry and bed-making
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle
- At least one active credential: PCA, HHA, or CNA
- Around 2 years of caregiving experience preferred, though less experienced candidates with full U.S. work authorization will be considered
- Strong English communication skills
- Must pass a background check and a TB (PPD) test
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. with a Social Security Number
