About the role
Giving Home Health Care is looking for a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home personal care on a part-time, independent-contractor basis in the Fort Worth/Haltom City area of Texas. This role supports patients enrolled in an in-home care program for individuals affected by nuclear facility-related health conditions, with a flexible schedule of about 10 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on personal care to patients in their homes according to each patient's individualized care plan
- Monitor patients for any changes in condition and report them promptly to the supervising nursing staff
- Follow infection-control practices and help maintain a clean, safe home environment
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and nutrition support
- Help patients transfer and move around safely
- Complete required annual continuing-education hours to stay current
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted CNA certification
- At least 1 year of direct patient care experience, or recent home health experience within the past 24 months
- Current CPR certification
- Willingness to complete TB testing
- Reliable personal transportation to reach patients' homes
- Must pass a background check as a condition of any offer
