About the role
Blackbird Health is a clinician-founded pediatric mental health practice serving Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Jersey. This is a 1099 contract role for an Occupational Therapist delivering evidence-based evaluations and short-term treatment to kids and young adults (ages 2–26), addressing emotional regulation, sensory processing, and executive functioning. The schedule is remote-first, with occasional in-person time (about once a week) at one of five PA clinic locations.
Responsibilities
- Complete at least 6 weekly 60-minute OT evaluations, each with 30 minutes of documentation time
- Identify candidates for short-term OT treatment and deliver focused 30-minute sessions
- Join weekly team meetings (~30 minutes)
- Maintain a mixed morning/evening clinical schedule, weighted toward weekday evenings after 3pm ET and/or weekends
- Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other specialty providers
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
- Valid Pennsylvania OT license
- 2+ years of pediatric or multidisciplinary OT experience
- Telehealth experience preferred
- Comfortable with EMR systems and HIPAA-compliant documentation
