About the role
Lake Harriet Veterinary, a well-established five-doctor small animal practice in Minneapolis, is hiring an Associate Veterinarian. It's a rare drama-free culture hire: many doctors and support staff have been here 10+ years, the hospital uses low-stress handling, and PTO is genuinely respected. Surgical experience is welcome but not required, and the schedule is built for longevity — start at three or four days a week with a short rotating Saturday shift. Compensation runs $120k–$160k base by experience, plus a true no-negative-accrual monthly production bonus and a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to small animal patients
- Partner with fellow DVMs and support staff to build the best treatment plans
- Communicate clearly and warmly with clients and team members
- Use low-stress handling techniques to keep visits calm for pets and families
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and eligibility to practice in Minnesota
- Kind, collaborative, client-focused approach
- Comfortable in a team-oriented practice; mentorship available
- Surgical experience welcomed but not required
