About the role
Licensed Behavior Analyst Professional Services (LBAPS) is hiring an Authorizations Specialist in Brooklyn, NY to manage prior-authorization requests for ABA and pediatric therapy services. You'll track submissions daily in LBAPS's Bolt platform, resolve denials and delays with insurers, and keep clinical teams informed on authorization status.
Responsibilities
- Submit and track prior authorization requests to insurance payers on a daily basis
- Resolve authorization denials and delays by following up directly with insurance providers
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date authorization records in the Bolt platform
- Notify clinical teams promptly of approvals, upcoming expirations, and renewal needs
- Meet daily submission targets and document all follow-up activity
Requirements
- Direct experience submitting prior authorizations to insurance payers
- Familiarity with ABA, behavioral health, or pediatric therapy authorization processes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume authorization queue
- Clear written and verbal communication with insurance payers
- Comfort working in an EHR or practice management system
