About the role
Anduril Industries builds next-generation defense hardware, and its Maritime Manufacturing Technology team is standing up new factories to produce surface, undersea, and sea-to-air vehicles. This role assembles, installs, troubleshoots, and services the HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration systems built into maritime vessels, plus the facility HVAC that keeps production environments controlled. It's high-reliability work: every system supports either crew habitability or mission readiness, so precision and documentation matter as much as wrench time.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install HVAC/R equipment from engineering drawings and work instructions
- Fabricate, braze, and install refrigerant piping, including copper and copper-alloy runs
- Recover, recycle, evacuate, and charge refrigerant systems to EPA standards
- Run functional and performance testing, then tune systems ahead of company, customer, and government inspections
- Support installation and upkeep of facility HVAC — rooftop units, split systems, make-up air units, exhaust fans
- Maintain welding-bay fume extraction, mist collection, and paint-booth ventilation
- Monitor temperature and humidity in controlled-environment assembly areas
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls faults and restore systems with minimal production downtime
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate
- 4+ years of HVAC service experience in industrial, marine, shipyard, or heavy commercial settings
- EPA Section 608 certification (Universal preferred)
- Able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC systems with diagnostic tools
- Experience brazing/soldering refrigerant piping
- Able to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and OEM specs
- OSHA safety practices: LOTO, confined space, fall protection, PPE
- Must be a U.S. Person due to export-controlled facility access, and eligible for a Secret security clearance
- Willing to work any shift plus overtime as production requires
