About the role
Heart + Paw is hiring a credentialed Veterinary Technician for its Marlton, NJ clinic. You'll assist with everything from routine appointments to surgery — diagnostics, dental radiographs, anesthesia monitoring — while also helping train new hires and introduce clients to the clinic's grooming, daycare, and retail services.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during routine appointments, surgeries, and ongoing patient care
- Collect and process diagnostic samples, administer medications, and prep patients for surgery
- Take and interpret dental and standard radiographs, and perform ultrasonic dental cleanings
- Monitor patients under general anesthesia and assist with catheterization and ear flushes
- Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and treatment areas
- Educate clients on preventive care, dental hygiene, and nutrition, and help onboard new team members
Requirements
- Active veterinary technician license in the state
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lift 20+ pounds
- Fear Free or HABRI certification preferred, or willingness to pursue one
