About the role
Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is hiring a full-time X-Ray Technologist to support its orthopedic clinics across Oak Park, Oak Brook, and Cicero, Illinois. You'll work hands-on with patients, capturing extremity X-rays and fluoroscopic imaging that guide physicians' treatment decisions, while also pitching in on everyday clinical tasks. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform extremity X-ray and fluoroscopic imaging ordered by physicians, following ALARA radiation-safety principles
- Prepare patients for imaging and walk them through what to expect during the procedure
- Room patients, take vitals, and document everything in the Epic EMR
- Assist with clinical support tasks: injection prep, wound care, durable medical equipment, and pre-/post-op care
- Communicate physicians' and PAs' treatment plans clearly to patients
- Run daily quality-control checks on imaging equipment and flag issues immediately
- Help triage incoming patient calls and support the care team wherever needed
Requirements
- Degree in Radiologic Technology; ARRT certified, or able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety or IDPH Radiologic Technologist license
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift 25–30 lbs to position patients
- Calm under pressure, adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a clinical team
- Spanish fluency is a plus
