About the role
Method Co. is looking for a barista to join the team at Le Supreme in Detroit, bringing warmth and precision to every cup served. In this role you'll be the face of the coffee bar, turning quality beans into consistently great espresso and coffee drinks while keeping the pace and energy of a busy hospitality setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages accurately and consistently
- Welcome guests warmly and recommend drinks based on their preferences
- Keep the barista station clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Follow established recipes and quality standards for every drink
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and the point-of-sale system
- Check product freshness and rotate stock as needed
- Pitch in on light food prep and general café cleanliness
- Follow sanitation and food safety guidelines at all times
Requirements
- About a year of barista or café experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Prior bartending experience is a plus, though not required
- Solid communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Comfortable multitasking during busy rushes
- Familiarity with espresso equipment and general coffee knowledge
- Dependable, punctual, and works well as part of a team
- Able to stand for long stretches and lift up to 30 pounds
