About the role
Frontier Dermatology, a Pacific Northwest dermatology group, is hiring a Float Patient Service Representative to staff the front desk across its Mount Vernon, Anacortes, Bellingham, and Coupeville, WA clinics. You'll be the first and last person patients interact with each visit — checking them in, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and keeping multiple providers' schedules running smoothly, with a $20–$26/hour base plus a float differential for covering several sites.
Responsibilities
- Check patients in and out for multiple providers across several clinic locations
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Verify insurance coverage ahead of visits
- Collect co-pays and process daily deposits
- Navigate multiple scheduling and practice-management programs throughout the day
- Travel as needed among the Mount Vernon, Anacortes, Bellingham, and Coupeville offices to cover front-desk shifts
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related healthcare experience
- Prior receptionist experience in a medical office, or completion of a healthcare training program, preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location front-desk environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with strong organization and attention to detail
- Able to travel locally between four Skagit/Whatcom County clinic sites as scheduling requires
