About the role
Service Wizard, an Austin-area home services company specializing in A/C and heating since 2000, is hiring an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems out of its Hutto, TX location. You'll run a full field schedule with a stocked service truck, deliver honest repair estimates, and earn uncapped commission on top of a strong base.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose HVAC system issues and prepare clear, honest repair estimates for customers
- Perform preventive maintenance visits and system safety checks
- Carry out repairs and keep your service truck stocked and organized
- Deliver professional, friendly customer service on every call
- Follow all safety standards and company protocols
- Track service history, parts used, and recommendations accurately
- Hit individual and team performance goals
Requirements
- 2-5 years of HVAC technician experience, including installation work
- Valid HVAC technician license and a valid driver's license
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather
