About the role
Pomelo Care is hiring a fully remote Pediatric Registered Nurse to deliver virtual, patient-first care to infants and children nationwide. Working from home over video, phone, chat and SMS, you'll triage urgent pediatric concerns, follow evidence-based protocols, build rapport with new families, and watch diagnostic results and care gaps. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts a week on a rotating day/night basis, including weekend and holiday rotations. Pay is $78k–$83k plus equity, with strong benefits and 16 weeks paid parental leave.
Responsibilities
- Triage urgent pediatric concerns via chat/SMS, phone and video, routing patients appropriately
- Follow evidence-based clinical protocols for pediatric assessment and triage
- Assess new pediatric patients and provide reassurance while building rapport
- Close care gaps (missed appointments, medication management) through frequent engagement
- Monitor and respond to abnormal diagnostic results and document all care promptly
Requirements
- Registered Nurse, BSN-prepared, with a current unrestricted multi-state (compact) license
- 3+ years in outpatient pediatric primary care, pediatric urgent care or pediatric ER
- Experience with virtual, phone or in-person pediatric triage
- Reliable internet and a home setup for remote video/phone/text work
- Willing to work weekends and holidays
