About the role
IntellaTriage, which has run after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health agencies since 2008, is hiring a part-time remote Hospice Triage RN for its Jacksonville, Florida team. Shifts run 4:30–10:00 a.m. plus rotating Saturday and Sunday blocks (7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. CST). You will take hospice patient and family calls by phone from home.
Responsibilities
- Provide telephone triage for hospice patients and their families
- Assess each patient's condition and decide on the right next step
- Coordinate with the client's on-call team to arrange care and resources
- Document every call and intervention accurately in the EMR
- Stay calm and professional on urgent calls, handling at least 5 calls an hour on weekdays and up to 8 on weekends
Requirements
- Active multistate (compact) Registered Nurse license
- Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life experience strongly preferred
- Comfort with EMR documentation and fast typing while on calls
- Able to multitask and handle stress during high call volume
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- Reliable internet and consistent attendance for every scheduled remote shift
What we offer
- Base pay of $25/hour, with a path to $28/hour within six months
- $1/hour differentials for overnight and weekend (Friday evening–Sunday) shifts
