About the role
IntellaTriage is hiring a part-time remote Hospice Triage RN for its San Antonio, Texas team to cover overnight calls on a three-week rotation, 10:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m. CST. You will answer after-hours calls from hospice patients and families and guide them to the right level of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide overnight telephone triage for hospice patients and families
- Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate next steps
- Collaborate with on-call teams to coordinate care and resources
- Document all communications and interventions accurately
- Keep a calm, professional manner on urgent calls, with roughly 5 calls an hour on weekdays and up to 8 on weekends
Requirements
- Active multistate (compact) Registered Nurse license
- Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life experience strongly preferred
- Comfort with EMR documentation and fast typing in a high-pressure setting
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- Able to work independently from home with reliable internet during every scheduled shift
What we offer
- Base pay of $25/hour, rising to as much as $28/hour within six months
- $2/hour differentials for overnight and weekend shifts
