About the role
Telligen is looking for a part-time Registered Nurse to handle weekend utilization review from home. You'll work Saturdays and Sundays — under 20 hours a week — reviewing cases against clinical criteria and coordinating with physician reviewers when a case doesn't clearly meet the bar. The role is based out of Idaho, Oklahoma, Montana, or Wyoming, and it requires an active California RN license (Telligen will pay for it if you don't already have one).
Responsibilities
- Review inpatient and outpatient cases prospectively, concurrently, or retrospectively against established clinical criteria
- Flag cases that don't meet criteria and route them to a physician or peer reviewer for a second opinion
- Coordinate the appeals process when a determination is challenged
- Support compliance reporting and help mentor newer members of the review team
- Document every review clearly enough that another nurse could pick up the case cold
Requirements
- Four-year nursing degree, or a two- to three-year nursing degree with equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of recent, direct clinical nursing experience
- Active, unrestricted California RN license — or willingness to obtain one within 3 months of hire (Telligen covers the cost)
- Reliable, predictable attendance for weekend shifts
- Based in Idaho, Oklahoma, Montana, or Wyoming; not open to candidates residing in California or outside the U.S.

- Telligen pays for your California RN license if you don't already hold one
